Mursal Nasseri

PhD Researcher funded by University of Bath Research Studentship Award

Mursal graduated from the University of Essex with a BSc in Biomedical Science, followed by an MSc in Neuroscience and Translational Medicine from Queen Mary University of London. Prior to starting her PhD, she supported Protein Science within Discovery Sciences at AstraZeneca. Her technical background includes recombinant protein expression in insect cell and E. coli systems, from high-throughput expression screening to large scale production.

Her research focuses on early-stage drug discovery, developing and optimising an intracellular screening platform to identify cyclic peptide hits against challenging intracellular target proteins.

Outside the lab, Mursal enjoys staying active at the gym, travelling, and exploring local cafés.
